The Detroit Office Of Civil Defense is still there, but is used by the Detroit Fire Department EMS division. It is located
in Palmer Park, West of Woodward Ave./North of McNichols Rd. This is not the only place the office was located. It has moved
several times. It was located on Jefferson Ave. Downtown(1950's)and on Cadillac Square (1940's)at one time.
Here's two photo's that I
took of the main entrance. The windows were
all steamed up. I rang the bell, but no one answered.
